I'm voting for the Colored Pencil choice, although I use it on regular paper and not cardstock. Seeing the texture your own recent posting had with it though, I might start doing so. It really helped bring a professional tone to the work, and also sort of brought it to life in some respect. The texture was interesting enough to look at to catch and keep my attention for a while.

Cardstock is just a better choice for coloured pencil, because you can layer so much more onto it. ^_^ And it never wrinkles from the pressure of the pencils, because it's about the thickness of four sheets of normal paper, or more, depending on the kind you get. If you do decide to try it, buy some at Michael's. It's by far the cheapest there ($2.99-$3.99 for 50 sheets in assorted colours, as opposed to 1.99 for a big sheet at Blick, or $6.99-$7.99 at Jo-Ann Fabrics).
Most cardstock has a smooth side and a rough side, so you can use whichever you prefer. The kind I buy has no real difference, but that's fine, because I like its smoother look. ^_^ Textured cardstock makes it harder to get even tones.
...I really ought to expand my colour palette for cardstocks... I only have white, grey, tan, beige, burgundy, hunter green, dark blue, and black (and a set of 5x7 marbled tones in yellow, pink, blue and green). >.< I need purples and other shades of the other colours.

There's no digital option! Although I am a proficient "drawer" almost all of my serious work eventually goes digital. In fact, I've NEVER made a serious painting in traditional media (not saying that's a good or a bad thing).

Well, the poll itself is for "traditional media", not digital. >.<
